Big news today: my first chapbook was published by Bitterzoet Press! These five poems are a series based on the story of Daphne and Apollo from Ovid's Metamorphoses. They were also inspired by Italo Calvino, a train trip, William Carlos Williams living in the suburbs of NYC, and a magnolia tree I used to visit on my way home from the library. I'd been working on these poems off and on since college and needless to say I was thrilled they found their way to Bitterzoet Press. It's been inspiring to work with a small independent press that makes such beautiful products. You can purchase the chapbook here and please be sure to check out the authors in Bitterzoet's store!

I have been thinking a lot about what it means to be a creative person, in my case a poet, and trying to balance your passion with your need to eat. I wrote down some of my thoughts and The Financial Diet was kind enough to publish them!

"Untitled" was a long time in the making and I'm so proud that it finally found a good home. Thanks for supporting the spaces that make my writing possible.
